Grupo Lactogal innovates with the new Matinal A2

Matinal, a brand of Grupo Lactogal, takes another step forward in innovation in the milk category with the launch of the new Matinal Seleccionado A2.

Matinal Seleccionado now contains exclusively A2 beta-casein, one of the variants of this protein naturally present in milk.

What is A2 protein?

Beta-casein is one of the proteins naturally present in milk and exists in different variants, the most common being A1 and A2. While conventional milk may contain both, the new Matinal Seleccionado contains exclusively A2 beta-casein. This development is made possible through a rigorous selection process of A2A2 cows, which naturally produce milk containing this protein variant, without any genetic modification of the animals or alteration of the milk proteins.

This innovation offers consumers an additional choice. At a time when consumers are increasingly attentive to the composition of food products and how they are produced, Matinal presents a differentiated offering that highlights a characteristic naturally present in milk.

The result is the same Matinal Seleccionado as always, now containing only A2 protein, while maintaining the quality, taste and other natural components of milk, including lactose.
